my one thought with this - please don't say you should be nice because "they could do anything to your food" please make it about us being people too. I've worked in kitchens for a decade, dealt with and seen others deal with truly horrible people. in ten years I've had a single person ask me to do something bad to someones food and I checked her accordingly if someone IS going to do something awful to it, treating your server nice won't prevent it. the other 99% of us wouldn't dream of it, no matter how poorly you act I just hate when this myth is perpetuated because we might talk some shit in the kitchen, but we're not monsters eager for any opportunity to poison you just because your server gave yoi the wrong thing
