If somebody wants you in their life they will make sure to make space for you and to make you feel wanted. My Boy My Toy by Kali Avalore finally made me realise that you can never be chosen by the other person if they don’t want to choose you.

This book is what finally taught me the law of detachment: not giving up on someone, but giving up the need to control the outcome, to fix them, or to beg them into showing up right. Real detachment means releasing the grip on how things "should" go and trusting that peace only comes when you stop chasing what keeps hurting you
