@teresatpham: new omakase + sushi experience in jax, fl ⭐️ SOFT OPENING 🍣 OMAKASE ROOM SET TO OPEN AUGUST Kobu Jax has finally opened and I’m excited for adding more premium japanese cuisine to jacksonville! I will say the food overall was so great, they don’t serve any pepsi/coke products to provide an authentic experience, and usually avoids takeout to emphasize the experience of eating here. chef tuna is so talented, working in nyc, with the plans to open the omakase room in august. the bincho-tan salmon was so creamy + creamy. every dish we tried wasn’t too heavy and nothing lacked flavor- I’d probably skip the matcha cheesecake but everything else was amazing. we got: beef gyoza 11/10 aged kanpachi crudo 8/10 aged bluefin tuna tasting 8/10 crab temaki 8/10 kobu signature maki 8/10 bincho-tan salmon 7.5/10 moshi sparkling yuzu & sparkling peach natsu spritz 6/10 shima aji (mackerel) 8/10 striped jack 10/10 uni hand roll 11/10 chocolate mousse + ginger drizzle 8/10 matcha cheesecake + strawberry drizzle 5.5/10 I hope to be back soon when the omakase experience opens, it’s expected to be 17 courses and under $200 🤭 is this place worth a michelin? let me know! 📍1435 Naldo Ave 1, Jacksonville, FL 32207 #omakase #japaneserestaurant #904happyhour #jaxfoodie #904eats
