The key fob for turning on your Tundra only works for free the 1st year. After that, you have to pay for it.

Anyway to get it to not turn off. My 2014 Dodge Journey stayed on, it just killed the engine if you put it in gear without the key with you.

You know how many times I didn’t shut the door fully when I had to jump out real quick and GOT LOCKED OUT TRUCK had to have some bring spare 😩 🤣

I have the 2026 and it does it but I believe it was the wrong idea that it turned off as soon you open the door. It should be programmed also detect your key to open while it started running. Also just program it to turn off within 5-10 minutes if not open by its owner.Come on Toyota engineers don’t need 4 years of college to figure this.out

Had a 2024 limited and I hated how the the engine shuts off when you unlock it. Got a 2026 TRD Pro and I was hoping they had changed that...not yet. 😂.
