So I'm currently in negotiations for EA and I'm kinda perplexed. There was a range and my skill-sets matches the higher number but due to internal equity, I'm low-balled. I went back with strong justification but how is this fair. They posted a range, my experience etc aligns to the top but because current staff is lower, my offer is lower? I fear they won't budge or will rescind but I'm like this isn't cool. Thoughts?

How come there are no “bosses”, always an “executive “.. Is a “ boss “ offensive to GenZs? Absolutely ridiculous. As long as the boss tells you what to do, he is your “boss”. Imagine some GenZ will sue a company because she feels it is demeaning to have a “boss”. When I worked in corporate, even the Senior VP’s and EVP’s called the Chairman and CEO, for whom I worked, the “ boss”.
