Still not as good as the Russian cargo plane taking off in Australia, where it shaved the grass at the end of the runway

In 2015 my best friend and I went to St. Martin just to see this. After about 3 1/2 hours of hanging out at the bar at the end of the runway, we were starting to give up on seeing a 747. We knew it was the last year for KLM to fly the Queen there. Then all of the sudden a guy with high res binoculars started yelling “he she comes! He she comes!” We finally saw the spec, that grew larger and larger and then all of the sudden she was so low and so close it was surreal. It was such an amazing memory ❤️❤️❤️

Stephan :

SXM hasn't been the same since the colonial overlords stopped sending 747s.

Nathan :

I pay for whole runway, I use whole runway!!

“Dis bitch heavy we ought to put on a show” -the pilots probably

There used to be a small tiki bar hut on that beach and when the bartender flashed its decorative lights , inbound planes would usually flash back . Coolest way for a big tip 😎
