I love that you asked this question! Historically, Spanish has used masculine words and pronouns as the default to refer to everyone, even when a group includes women. This is called androcentrism. A more feminist approach is to say “ellos y ellas”. And If you want to be even more inclusive of non-binary people, you can use “elles.” Keep in mind that “elles” is not widely accepted in all Spanish-speaking countries or cities, and in some places it is frowned upon

You can just use "ellos". Grammatical genders works very different in Spanish than in English. "Ellos" in this case cover both genders, in the same way other concepts like "La escolta" or "La presidencia" also cover both genders.

Usually ellos. But dont let people tell you that theres not a conversation: search "lenguaje inclusivo", lots of people use the "e" as a neutral form. It came up a few years ago, it died down BUT it still exists. In my university we still use it, students and professors.

as people have already told you, there is "elles", but it's not widely used. "ellos y ellas" is quite popular among certain politicians and in some official texts. some people use "ellas" for groups of both men and women (I'd say it's more popular than elles). we also had ellxs, but I'd say almost everyone that used it has switched to elles (you can't pronounce it afaik). and it seems a bit outdated know and I rarely see it anymore, but like 20 years "ell@s" had a big moment (the @ looks like an a inside an o, so it's both F&M - and afaik it can't be pronounced either)

its actually very difficult because a lot of spanish speakers are against the neutral pronoun "elles" which was also introduced to our vocabulary in the past years so there's another part of the spanish speakers who just doesn't understand it lol so the first answer is, is better if you stick to "ellos" if the majority of the people is male and "ellas" if its female. and to the second question, we often avoid genders by saying "es una persona buena" instead of "es una mujer buena/hombre bueno" because you're using "persona" (person) as the subject and "persona"s gender is feminine, so you're using feminine pronouns but applied to a word that just means person without specifying gender

If you are in a formal context, you can use words that do not specify gender. For example, if a group of teachers is talking about the students, they could use “el estudiantado” instead of “los estudiantes”. Another option is to use inclusive language with “e” (as in “elles”), but saddly many people still do not understand why this form is considered possible or necessary

we usually say ellos. They've made a more inclusive version, which is "elles". But since it's "very political", most people don't use it or agree with it. I'd recommend you to just say ellos

Interpreter here! in Spanish is not really a common thing because the words itself have gender and it depends on the subject your talking about. Now because we are aware of the different gender identitys we do use some modifications to address someone but most people are not aware of it and sometimes it may sound weird when used in a sentence... All = Todo (masc) -> Todes, Them = Ellos (masc) -> Elles. Just to put a few examples

no lo hay y es un problema en este idioma... se quiso implementar una opción para abarcar ambos géneros pero la gente se resiste... solo nos queda decir ambas palabras y así los abarcamos

si querés seguir las reglas del español y aún así ser inclusiva podés decir "esas personas" "esos individuos" (porque el artículo toma el género de la palabra siguiente que es neutra) o simplemente decir ellos, porque la letra O en el español es neutra si se trata de un grupo mixto, no es para nada común que alguien se ofenda o se siente menos incluído. Ahora si no te importa que se te rían podés decir elles, también se puede escribir como ellxs y tiene la misma pronunciación, a esto lo llamamos lenguaje inclusivo que consiste en modificar todas las palabras que tienes género y reemplazar la última vocal (una O o una A por una E. Ejemplo: linde, graciose, divertide, tonte, elles, nosotres), no me parece mal pero si te soy sincera al 85% de hispanohablantes no les gusta y es profundamente rechazado en nuestro lenguaje, en internet puede ser más aceptado (no tanto igual) pero si querés relacionarte con personas irl no te lo recomiendo, menos si querés hablar con adultos 35 para arriba.
