There is research being done on splicing DNA, but it’s for genetic diseases that are coded at a specific point. It’s had a decent bit of success as well, it’s called CRISPR Gene editing, have a look into it! But it’s definitely not being done by random DNA companies as it’s not a cheap process that anyone can do as the genome is so complex 😅
