@erica354798: People may judge me, criticize me, or even hate me but none of that defines who I am. I've learned to rise above the negativity and it no longer has power over me. What truly matters is how we treat one another. The deaf community like every community, deserves kindness, respect and understanding. Words have power they can either build people up or tear them down. Before you speak, remember that you never truly know what someone else is carrying. Choose compassion over judgment. Choose respect over ignorance. What you put into the world has a way of coming back to you. Reminder: Be kind. Be respectful.
