@welcome2sorrento: Just to be clear, I’m not saying don’t visit Capri. I’, just saying it’s not worth a day trip in Peak Season, in my opinin. If you can stay the night in a fancy hotel, great. If you can visit on your yacht, you’re gonna have a fab time. But if you, like me, have to hustle with the masses for bus space just for a quick chair ride and stroll, I reckon there’s better options for you. That said, my next videos will be giving more info and advice on Capri in case you do choose to visit. Bon voyage #capri #ItalyTravel #traveladvice #sorrento

Book a beach club that’s how you spend your time in Capri if you are not staying there

I went to capri 3 days ago. I walked straight onto a taxi to anacapri the chairlifts were empty and we also were rushed on to fill them and then we had a 15 min wait to get a taxi back

I was in capri yesterday and we booked with HP travels through get your guide. They have a private bus for their customers that runs every 5-10 minutes to Anacapri and Capri and back to Marina Grande. You can also pre book the chairlift with them to skip some of the queue. Definitely recommend we didn’t wait for a bus longer than a few minutes!

My opinion July and August Italy is the worst time to travel first of all too hot unless u r in the Dolomites or in the Alps. Many tourist take vacations in July and August but most of Italy is also on vacation in August during the time calling ferragosto

Just back from Sorrento, honestly if you’re on the fence to go over to capri at this point in the year I wouldn’t bother, jam packed sweaty bus up a hill to the chair lift which is cool but it’s just a viewing spot up the top, just personal opinion but Sorrento is beautiful enough to not have to bother, if it’s in your plans to go by all means go you might have a differing opinion (also hate travelling by ferry so not really the best person to give opinion admittedly 😅)

we got a package deal, boat from Sorrento, which included a mini bus (straight on) to anacapri. 1.5 hours there, then back on the mini bus to Capri and skip the line to the chair lift. absolutely well worth it. we even fitted in a lovely meal in a restaurant.

That’s why we went in May and stayed for 3 nights, it’s a holiday not a day trip, sorry if it sounds rude .

A few years ago, I visited Capri in August on a day trip from Naples. I skipped Anacapri. Instead, as soon as I arrived at the port, I took the funicular and spent the day hiking around the island. No queues, no buses, no taxis—just walking. It was a beautiful day, and I have very fond memories of it.

Marvelous Capri :
The secret to experiencing the true magic of Capri is simple: stay overnight and plan strategically. Regardless of the month, the island's atmosphere shifts dramatically based on the clock. Day trippers overwhelm the local charm, arriving in waves between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM and clearing out by late afternoon. An island with a resident population of just 15,000 is simply not structurally equipped to host 25,000 transient visitors every single day.

Because you went at the peak of high season. Try May or mid September next time. The weather is still good and you would enjoy the island with less crowds
