Unsolicited military parent tip. Have him take his parental leave broken up. Take a month- 1.5 months then he go back to work. Then take another month around 4 months (many babies go through sleep regression, so lots of sleepless nights for one person but with support it’s easier to manage), then take another month around 6 months when teething really hits hard and babies sleep may be disturbed.
