Why do you need a financial advisor ? I have had a couple banks come to me and want to manage my portfolios. And tell them to look at my taxable trading account. I tell them to take the last 5 years of my gains and benchmark it against the S&P performance. And I tell them that I want returns greater than what I get on my own without them. And I tell them I want it gaurenteed. But none of them take me up on the offer. Why do you think that is ? Seriously. If I’m going to be paying a premium , should they be able to beat my returns ? I mean it’s not even my full time job and I can beat S&P averages. When I can’t get that commitment I sense they are not financially savvy enough to manage my money.
