As someone who has worked in accounting and payroll, you got to realize just how much information is passed back and forth from HR to Payroll to Finance. There are a whole lot of boxes to check and a lot of processes that are a lot more manual than you’d realize. Before doing payroll at a big company, I assumed a lot more stuff would be automated. Mistakes definitely happen. Even if they happen rarely, a company employing 10k people with a 99% accuracy rate is messing up 100 people’s compensation changes each time 😬

I complained about a couple of managers who didn’t see eye to eye she complains that I looked/ resemble like her ex and I made a statement to the HR of discrimination/ harassment.I proceed to get pulled into the office by someone I’m not comfortable being around with, to talk about respect, which I was showing her. then another manager proceed to fire me and she is not from my department what should I do? It’s Walmart.

Hi! I have a question, I used to work in a warehouse in California where everyone was hired as a contractor for 9-12 months and then laid off, then hired again after 3 months. This has been going on for years as far as anyone can remember. People have been working at this warehouse for 10+ years where they work for 9-12 months, collect unemployment and then repeat the cycle. Only permanent employees were the corporate/engineers. What's the benefit behind this sort of hiring?
