Psychosis is like going to sleep and having the worst nightmare of your life and then waking up to find out everything that happened in your nightmare was actually real and actually happened. Psychosis is real and it ruins and ends lives. I feel sorry for everybody involved.

But why was he so shocked? He knew she was sick. She explicitly told him she was having thoughts about it. And he decided to leave her alone with them? I ask the women in the comments section- if it were reversed- if you saw your husband be on all those medications, watched him lose his mind and talk about offing your children- are you gonna leave them alone with him?

For me the one thing I keep thinking about is how he assumed it was his wife that did it. If I was married and saw my spouse near death with my dead children nearby, I’m immediately assuming home invasion or I’m being targeted. The fact that he immediately said it was her only tells me one thing — he knew she was capable of doing it and ignored her because he didn’t take her seriously. He KNEW she had these ideations and did nothing about it. He simply didn’t care.

But let this be a man who needed help , Hurd voices sent his wife off to do something then murder his kids with an EXTENSION CORD one by one & chased down the oldest one to finish the job …. You guys would nottt have the same remorse for the dad. You’re saying those kids didn’t yell out for help not once & those little voices of her kids didn’t make her stop not once ? She knew what she did and thought a fake psychosis was going to let her get away with it, like every murderer says the same thing it wasn’t me that killed them I was not in control but you plotted & timed the murder perfectly…
