Half of you guys refuse to acknowledge Endeavor’s character development and the other half of you act like he’s completely made up for his mistakes. The beauty of his character is that he’s done unfixable damage and he has to live with that and try to be a better person everyday even though he can never fully atone.

I hate how people claim Dabi was just a brat. He was a neglected kid with mental illness and witnessed abuse. He wanted to feel wanted and for his family to be proud of him, he was very intelligent. He knew why his dad had him and the other kids. Endeavor didn’t even think to try to find a remedy for him, he just told him no you can’t be what you been dreaming about, stop. He got burnt by flames hotter than his dads and that’s who he called out to. His dad saved so many people but not his family, All for One got to him first and his dad knew he was at Sekoto peak. Dabi was a little boy that was neglected, just wanted love and to feel like he belonged but he started to hate himself. He had flames hotter than Endeavors as a child. The students at UA were way older than Toya at the time he was training with his quirk. He could’ve been a great hero all along but his family and society told him no. That’s the tragedy that is the Dabi.

It was both their faults due to endeavor making him believe he had to prove himself and his late disapproval of what he was doing when Touya had still decided to practice alone knowing full well what could happen so it is both of their faults but mainly more endeavors for influencing him to do it in the first place
