@emmaa.getsfitt: I think it’s easy to believe staying lean is just a choice when it’s always come fairly naturally to you. For a lot of people it takes a very intentional amount of time, energy and work, while also navigating everything else life has handed them. Saying “just stay lean” completely ignores how different everyone’s circumstances actually are. Everyone’s circumstances are different, everyone’s starting point is different, and people are usually dealing with way more than you can see from the outside🫶🏻
thank you for this message. It is meaningful and you are inspiring and your messages are so hopeful. I really appreciate this video and I agree with you.🩷💕✨️

It’s so easy for people to look from the outside and judge. I was a chubbier kid, who was bullied. Eventually I developed an eating disorder and was thin and lean but not healthy, but praised for it constantly. When I healed from it, I gain weight, and then I gained a lot of weight (went from 48kg to currently around 88kg, at 5’3). I have been too scared to diet again because of fear of relapsing back into an ED, but I’m getting back into the gym and working on being healthy and feeling good about myself. Not about losing the weight, or the number, but making better decisions, habits and working towards being strong. Everyone’s journey is so different, and people coming online and sharing blanket statements shaming people will never promote health. You’re amazing and you are so strong ♥️

I gained weight as a kid. My body seems to like to hold onto extra weight because as a kid I wasn't really eating above what I was supposed to. I was overweight in my teens and young adult life. I've gotten down to 200lbs one time and felt so good! Then I developed an undiagnosed heart problem and injured my knee so badly that I couldn't walk for a few months. I gained 150lbs and I'm at my heaviest now. I'm just now starting to feel good enough physically to try and lose some weight.

I was not fat as a child, until puberty hit and I started gaining weight. my mom was very critical of what I was eating. in turn I developed a binge eating disorder. I lost weight in high-school, but I wasn't eating anything except for an orange at lunch and dinner, until I was alone and would eat whatever I could find (even dry hotchocolate powder) when I moved out on my own I started eating regular meals bit the binging never stopped. I got to 200lbs in my 20s. then when I had kids my weight skyrocketed and I gained another 100lbs in 10 years. I still struggle with binging, but I'm trying to stop it, and to never skip meals, and to just allow myself to treat myself so I don't binge instead. it's not easy, but I did loose 40lbs since the beginning if this year. the mean comments I would hear from my own mom about weight will haunt me forever, even if she apologized and stopped making those comments now it still hurts to know she would say those things to a child. she was the reason I quit ballet at 12, because she laughed at me in my leotard because of my belly. I was even doing exercise videos in grade 5 right after school.

I have PCOS, was not overweight until puberty. I tried every diet & exercise on the market. Until I treated my hormone imbalance I couldn’t lose weight. Those people just don’t understand what it’s like to become a bigger person. I’m grateful for my 2 kids but it made me gain weight fast & never lose it. Now they are my biggest supporters & their Dad too!

You’re still beautiful on the inside just as much as you are on the outside. Don’t worry about other people just another reason to be kind
