Lindsey was in literal psychosis which isn't even taken seriously most the time til it's too late in instances like this. emily refused to put up a pool gate bc it would ruin the aesthetic, she lied about taking him to swim classes, he was left unattended for over seven minutes and his dad knew that he was outside by the open pool. he was still cashing out bets at the hospital. they threw a pool party in the same pool their kid drowned in months after he died. they still don’t take water safety seriously and took their other kid on a boat with no life vest. what happened was a horrible accident but it was a preventable accident that didn’t make them take water safety any more seriously.

As an American… Lindsay tried to get herself admitted for psychosis and they had her on like 13 different SSRIs and meds. Our horrifying insurance and medical system failed her. Brady was just purely negligent. Accident yes, and of course there wasn’t mal intent, but he let a 3 yr old play outside (and in the police report it says he knew he was out there) unsupervised for 10 min knowing there was an uncovered pool out there. I empathize with Emily but her not having a life jacket on her youngest while on a boat after all that was wild to me.
