Apartment deliveries are honestly not my favorite when I’m DoorDashing. Some customers don’t give specific enough directions about where they live, and it can be a pain trying to find the right building or apartment.

I hate apts!! none of the buildings are numbered, they never give u the entry codes, I can never find the apt they live in!! totally sux to get an apt order!! hate it!!

How do you know it as an apartment before taking the order on Uber or Instacart? please I need to know because I delivered heavy loads on the 16th floor and it was a hassle for me.

it's those and enclosed apartment buildings that stretch out like two football fields.... you know the ones with the long hallways that break off four or five different ways causing you to spend 15 minutes plus with the bipolar number system on the doors and needing a road map to find your way back to your vehicle 💯😀😀

ONE TIME I DROVE AROUND FOR OVER 10 MINUTES TRYING TO FIND PARKING COULDN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE FINALLY I JUST PULLED OFF TO THE SIDE AND I GO UPSTAIRS OF COURSE IT'S THE THIRD FLOOR NO ELEVATOR AND THEN I CAN'T FIND MY WAY DOWN BECAUSE IT'S NOT LIKE OKAY THERE'S THE STAIRS YOU GOT TO GO BEHIND DOOR NUMBER ONE AND DOOR NUMBER TWO AND DOOR NUMBER THREE FINALLY I FOUND IT I'LL GO DOWNSTAIRS AND I'M ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GATE WHEN YOU ENTER THE APARTMENTS I WENT THROUGH THE GATE TO THE RIGHT NOW I'M ON THE GATE TO THE LEFT AND I SEE A NASTY RUDE LADY STAND IF I POLICE OFFICER IN FRONT OF MY CAR. BUT I CAN'T GET THROUGH THE GATE UNTIL A CAR COMES THROUGH SO A CAR COMES THROUGH LUCKILY AND I RUN UP THERE AND THE POLICE OFFICER THE SAME ARE YOU OKAY AND I'M LIKE THERE'S A PARKING HERE I DROVE AROUND FOR 10 MINUTES THERE'S LITERALLY LITERALLY NO PARKING HERE ALL I'M TRYING TO DO IS DELIVER THIS UBER ORDER AND I KNOW THAT'S THE NASTY YOU KNOW WHAT THAT CALLED THEM SHE WOULDN'T EVEN LOOK UP AT ME I'M LIKE THESE APARTMENTS SUCK I WOULD NEVER PAY THIS PRICE THERE'S LITERALLY WHERE'S THE PARKING FOR VISITORS. How to you manage on time rates though l? I feel like Uber Eats don’t give enough time nor do they consider traffic then the time it takes to park and elevators and looking for apt numbers. I just complained to uber eats because my on time rates gone down even when I try to rush (which I shouldn’t be) I reach the location on the dot but then it take a min or two to get to the door and take pics. It’s so annoying because my on time rate gets effected. Their “expected time” is not realistic.

I DO NOT deliver to apartments. If I see a building, I do not accept because it’s either an apartment or a business. I don’t have time for them to find the delivery code.

Another thing… A lot of these customers never leave their gate code on the notes… and some of them… don’t answer the phone, or your message, when you try to ask them for the code… that happens often too

I live in an apartment but you can literally park in front of my unit, there is no unit number, it's just my address & it's a single story building. I keep changing it to say a house because it's pretty much the same deal, except you have to walk less bc there's no driveway but drivers keep changing it back to apartment. i only use spark tho.
