MOST people have at least some wave and texture to their hair. Having completely straight hair is quite rare actually, so you probably do have some loose waves and bends, but nothing drastic

I'm a cosmetologist of 20 years. you most likely have a slight body wavy curl pattern. like not pin straight but slightly wavy. also hair texture and curl pattern can change over the years. my mother had pin straight hair her whole life until she started perimenopause. after full menopause hit she was fully curly like I am. I've always had curly hair, but it started as big curls/waves, and as I got older it got curlier. now that I'm 40 it's slowly losing its curl pattern and my super tight curls are now loose curls and waves again.

My hair is board straight it it looks board straight when it’s wet too. It’s never looked even remotely wavy, even when I towel or air dry. You probably have pretty wavy hair if you did that whole curl routine

I have had curly hair my entire life and for at least the first 18 years I had no idea what to do with it. I did everything wrong. And yet there was no way on this planet, in my wildest imagination, in any version of this universe, that I wouldn’t have known it was curly. It was a giant puff ball, sure, but it was pretty undeniably curly 😂

you're probably wavy! nothing to worry about, you've already got the required "fuck it" attitude towards your hair that will make embracing those waves fun and easy. Just throw in some gel, scrunch it, and go about your day not worrying about how well the curls are holding up, or whatever. My hair's curly and I literally just grab a gel or cream after a shower, flip my head upside down, frantically scrunch it in for 10 seconds, stand back up, and go about my business.

I have no idea what age you are (I can't tell how close to 35 you are!🥰), but straight hair can become wavy like that when you start perimenopause. my sister had stick straight hair her whole life until she hit perimenopause, now her hair looks just like yours here. whereas, my lifelong curly hair stayed curly but became hella brittle.
