@itsmesaramartinez: Normally I’m parenting from a patio chair, but your girl is getting too hot out there, so we’re bringing the easy activities indoors. Introducing couch potato parenting, which, let’s be honest, is just my natural state with a better name. Sitting is what I do. This one could not have been easier and she stayed with it way longer than I expected. What you need: A kid-friendly measuring tape A ruler Stuffies, or honestly whatever toys are already out — cars, blocks, kitchen utensils, a shoe A page of numbers they can circle, tally, or highlight if they’re younger, or just a blank page to write the numbers down if they’re older A marker, crayon, or highlighter How to do it: Write out numbers on a piece of paper, big and spread out, or print some Line up the stuffies They measure one, then circle the number they found Mine’s almost four, so she circles.
