Hii i see u have sen derm tagged and although this doesnt look like my flare ups ( itchy greasy glued yellow flakes ), i’ll let u know that what helped me the most after suffering with monthly relapses for 6 months was cleansing in the morning and at night with a gentle cleanser, STOPPING STEROIDS, and using maintenance antifungal cream/gel NOT SHAMPOO!!!!! ( also after doing full antifungal treatment, slowly reduce frequency until maintenance which can be 3/2/1 times a week, i do thrice a week). Good luck with everytjing and i know how hard it is trust me, hopefully it gets better for us!

I have a question do you blow dry your hair after you shower? I have seborrheic dermatitis too. And I used to have a red forehead all the time because of it! I started to blow dry my hair after showering and it has cleared a lot of my seborrheic dermatitis. I know the yeast that causes it reacts more when your hair is wet or sweaty or your scalp is hot.

Have no idea what your diagnosis is, but I had a mystery horror show on my face and after 4 years of flare ups I finally got told it could be inflammatory rosacea. I started using Finacea 15% and after a month it was gone. It’s life changing for it to have cleared up. Best of luck to you x

I have this, the only thing that works is a course of flucoazole, seb derm is caused by yeast, fluconazole kills the yeast from the inside out, topical cant make a difference when it gets stubborn like this and most of the time the active ingredient is carried by a base that is not fungal safe so you are constantly 1 step forward 2 steps back
