@goatcult.media: In July 2022, 27-year-old Shaye Groves killed her boyfriend, Frankie Fitzgerald, at their home in Havant, England. Prosecutors said she slit his throat before stabbing him 17 times after becoming convinced he had been unfaithful. As detectives searched the home, they found framed photographs and memorabilia connected to several notorious serial killers, including Jeffrey Dahmer, Myra Hindley, and Peter Sutcliffe. During the trial, prosecutors argued that Groves had a long-standing fascination with serial killers, while the defense maintained that the killing happened in a moment of intense emotion. In 2023, Groves was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum term before parole eligibility. Do you think the items found in her home were relevant to the case, or were they simply a distraction?
