I actually make fuel line hose and that’s not standard plastic. It actually helps the line from bursting under pressure and prevents the fuel from eating the synthetic rubber that the hose is made out of

Looks pretty tough to me if you would’ve just left that clamp on and tight it looks like it would never leak. Sometimes they do it for a reason.

I always use the gray fuel line, it's cheaper and lasts all the way until the guy drives away with the car I spent as little as possible getting running
