@wood_brain: SPOILER ALERT!!!! Don’t do this!!! I made the huge mistake of thinking I could add sand to a 3-D printed file for added weight, but as soon as I resume the print and the fans turned on sand went absolutely everywhere. Inside of my machine, took me hours to clean. #3dprinterfail #3dprint #sand #fail
Can we stop with the saxophone sound? I never really got that “trend”

You can also lightly mist your sand prior to restarting the print. Same principle of sand castles.

Can we stop cutting the video and maybe explain what we’re doing cause this will be the first last and only video I watch from you. I’m not chasing an ending.

use polymeric sand. you can buy the sand with the polymeric additive or you can just buy the additive to "lock" the sand in place.

Maybe putting the sand in little plastic wrap to make tiny weights? Idk I’ve never used a 3D printer

For those confused, 3D printers have fans to help immediately cool down the plastic - so putting sand in there and then starting the printer again means the fans turned on and blew it everywhere and out of the print.

I had this issue with NFC tags 😭 i ended up gluing down each one, but obviously we could do that here.. maybe try applying some spray adhesive (or strong hairspray if you don’t have any) to a piece of thin tissue paper and sticking it to the top and cutting it down to size with a razor blade?

I use plaster of Paris to fill hollow prints for weight. the heat from your bed makes it cure very quickly so by the time your friend is done it's solid and heavy. I mix it thin so it pours in easier.

Would you be able to use the kinetic sand for weight? Since it has moisture it won’t blow around?

the print head has a blower on it so it 100% blasted sand everywhere
