It's extremely painful to not be allowed to see your nieces/nephews. I'm not allowed to see my niece for unrelated reasons to yours but it's genuinely such a painful thing for me that I've gotten to the point where I've convinced myself I don't care at all. I wouldn't recognize my niece either. Grieving people that are still alive is such a horrible thing and to add on the layer of the fact that the reason you're having to do that is bc people are transphobic and hateful is even more devastating, I'm so sorry.

This destroys me, my brother is trans and I would burn the world around him to keep him safe from the discrimination and exclusion - I'm not a violent person but my brother is the most gentle soul and is so deserving of endless love and acceptance.
