I mean it seems to me like the 'natural 'plant' hasn't really changed anything for you in all these years in more than a temporarily beneficial way. Not to say it isn't, or even that clinical medication is better, but side effects like that are only listed because they are a POSSIBILITY like all medication. Not guaranteed.

This is the schism we're seeing in modern medicine that people have zero awareness about. Everyone: if your doctor acts like the AUTHORITY over your health and body, fire them immediately. Thats old school medicine where clinicians were the decision makers about your health. Unsurprisingly outcomes were NOT THAT GREAT under that model. Current medical understanding redefines the role of clinicians as support people and advisors helping the patient navigate their own health journey... the authority is fully with the patient to make the final say. Doctors role is to be an advisor, explaining the risks and benefits of every decision, and then letting the patient make the final call.

im not saying it isnt the better option, but saying its better because "its a natural plant that grows in the ground" is terrible justification for why its better. Deadly Nightshade is also a natural plant that goes in the ground, but if you consume that youll fucken die.

im a sleep tech, to be fair nightmares and night terrors are distinctively different with night terrors being associated with non-rem sleep and commonly have no recollection. while nightmares are a rem sleep disorder and usually the patient can recall having them. also i dont know much about that medication or your situation but I hope things progress well for you!

I was at a low point in my life, my doctor gave me antidepressants. I took one and it was amazing, for a couple of hours, then got a massive migraine. I told him that I can't take it because i can't function getting sude effects, I told him that I need orgasms instead, he just shook his head lol 😆
