The Insight Training Centre has been awarded a D2.9 million Skills, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (SIE) Fund Training Grant as part of The Gambia Resilience, Inclusion, Skills, and Equity (RISE) Project. The SIE Fund serves as a flagship component of the RISE Project, which aims to strengthen technical and vocational education while promoting entrepreneurship and job opportunities for young Gambians. Through institutional support, training scholarships, and startup grants, this initiative seeks to equip young people with practical skills that will contribute to national development and economic growth. Insight Training Centre is one of 43 public and private Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions selected to benefit from the fund under both Window 1 and Window 2 of the program. This award recognizes the institution’s ongoing commitment to delivering quality, industry-relevant skills training throughout the country. The grant will support training programs at Insight Training Centre's campuses in Sinchu Alagie, Mile 2 Central Prison, Jangjangbureh Prison, and the Basse Annex, thus expanding access to quality technical and vocational education for both community learners and incarcerated individuals preparing for successful reintegration into society. After receiving the award, the institution, through the Director General, Mr. Ismaila Ceesay, reaffirmed its commitment to utilising the grant to strengthen skills development, improve training opportunities, and empower more young Gambians with the knowledge and practical competencies necessary to secure employment or start their own businesses. This award represents another significant milestone in Insight Training Centre’s mission to provide inclusive, accessible, and high-quality technical and vocational education that transforms lives and contributes to The Gambia’s socio-economic development. #skills #youthempowerment #education #gambian_tiktok🇬🇲🇬🇲
