@pubity: Hidden in Germany's Kromlau Park, the Rakotzbrücke, often called the Devil's Bridge, is one of the country's most remarkable architectural landmarks. Commissioned by local knight Friedrich Hermann Rötschke in 1860, the stone bridge took around 10 years to complete. Its carefully designed arch reflects perfectly in the water below, creating the illusion of a complete stone circle. Built using specially selected basalt columns, the bridge was designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, making it look almost otherworldly. called the devil's bridge cause as legend goes the knights needed to cross the river in time for a battle or some shi, wasn't going to be finished in time, the devil offered help to finish but in exchange for the first life to cross over.. the knights agreed but tricked the devil by sending a chicken over first. weird little connection, the wife of the brooklyn bridge architect was the first to cross over with a chicken in her lap. they were from Germany and probably familiar with the legend.
