My dad had all the characteristics of a family annihilator, he literally fits this entire profile. He was a politician and he would always say that if him and my mom were killed for example in a plane crash (he would never travel alone or just with my mom for this reason) he would hope we would die too. He would always complain that we ruined his career and his life. He constantly attacked my mom and I and was later diagnosed with narcissism. Luckily my mom left him and we ran and took his weapons because we were scared he would harm us or himself. I am now studying behavioral analysis and criminal psychology and looking back on this still freaks me out.

We had very similar thought processes, omg. The only difference is that I thought he might do the child first. To demonstrate the lengths of his irritations, to not so much get revenge in his eyes, but ''his right''. Maybe because she went to protect her daughter, and it was just easier (bcs again, it doesnt matter to him). I'm going into social services, so Im trying to get more experience with individual cases. Not to dehumanize. I will go check out the Not Allowed Word, and read, for sure.

there's an excellent book on abuse in relationships called 'Why Does He Do That' by Lundy Bancroft, who worked with abusive men. He writes in a lot of depth about profiling and motivations

Genuinely devastating that there were and are victims who suffer in silence, enduring and hoping that the situation will get better but end up another static. I try to consume true crime in the most mindful way I can but even then I do slip up and go through the "oh I think I heard about that case, wait no that was a different one."

Before you say the COD I believe the wife would’ve been strangled-very personal and intentional and intimate-and the daughter would’ve been suffocated like with a pillow or stuffed animal. Less intimate but still full of resentment. More him believing he’s putting her out of the misery she’d be in left with no parents and less blame of being born and ruining his freedom like it wasn’t her choice but still needs to be gone for him to be free.
