ok here's my issue lets just forget that the ending is difrent from the book for a second Christopher Nolan not only made the odesey movie but he also made the prequel to odesey Troy which is the same story just the prequel the reasin I bring this up is becuse in that movie briseis hectors cousin gets put threw hell way more well then the original iliad (for those who dint know the iliad is the prequel to the odesey) shes constantly shown on screen being beaten so why all of a sudden does the same director who was ok with showing women beating all of a sudden have an issue with women hanging its just fucking dumb and its just another example of why troy is the superior movie lol thats the one good thing about this new trash movie it was so bad its made people go watch troy which is an underated masterpiece lol

If I remember correctly, those handmaids were traitors. They slept with The Suitors, betrayed Penelope’s secret (unravel her weaving every night), and weren’t loyal. So they got a traitors death.
