Just do make sure you get at least one more plant as they cannot self pollinate, so if that's your only one then you'll struggle to get fruit.

i looooove pawpaws! I hope he successfully grows big enough to give you some fruit. some people called them Appalachian bananas, I find they're mostly a mix between mango and banana, texture and taste -wise. I've always found them in the understory, so depending on what kind of tree his neighbor is, you probably won't need to cut it down! good luck!!

Specifically, that’s an American PawPaw. No one is mixed up, papaya is called paw paw in many countries around the world.
