A five-day ban on the sale, distribution, and consumption of alcoholic beverages has been imposed in Gulmi district to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21. According to a decision made by the District Security Committee following an all-party meeting at the District Administration Office, the restriction will remain in effect from Falgun 16 to 21. During this period, the sale, distribution, and public consumption of alcohol will not be permitted. Chief District Officer Badrinath Gaire said the measure was taken to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents during the election. He stated that strict monitoring will be carried out, and legal action will be taken against individuals or businesses that violate the decision. फागुन २१ गते हुने प्रतिनिधिसभा निर्वाचनलाई सुरक्षित, स्वच्छ र भयरहित वातावरणमा सम्पन्न गराउने उद्देश्यले गुल्मी जिल्लामा पाँच दिनसम्म मदिराजन्य पदार्थको बिक्री–वितरण तथा सेवनमा पूर्ण प्रतिबन्ध लगाइने भएको छ। जिल्ला प्रशासन कार्यालयमा बसेको सर्वदलीय बैठकको सहमतिअनुसार जिल्ला सुरक्षा समितिले फागुन १६ गतेदेखि २१ गतेसम्म जिल्लाभित्र मदिराजन्य पदार्थको बिक्री–वितरण तथा सार्वजनिक स्थानमा सेवन गर्न नपाइने निर्णय गरेको हो।प्रमुख जिल्ला अधिकारी बद्रीनाथ गैह्रेले निर्वाचन अवधिमा शान्ति–सुरक्षा कायम राख्न र कुनै अप्रिय घटना हुन नदिन यस्तो निर्णय गरिएको जानकारी दिए। यस अवधिमा मदिराजन्य पदार्थको कारोबार र सेवनमाथि कडाइका साथ निगरानी गरिने तथा निर्णय उल्लंघन गर्ने व्यक्ति वा व्यवसायीमाथि प्रचलित कानुनअनुसार कारबाही गरिने उनले बताए। #nepal #news #nepalelection #election
