Raising your hands while kneeling and singing “Oh Kristi Oba Mi” to me it’s an expression of total surrender, reverence, and worship before God. It is not necessarily about whether it is an established church practice (ilana) or not. True worship begins in the heart. The Bible says, Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. (Psalm 134:2). It also says, Come, let us worship 🙏and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” (Psalm 95:6). These postures are biblical expressions of humility, adoration, and submission to God. If while singing that hymn, I choose to lift my hands in sincere worship, that is a personal expression of my devotion to my Creator. God looks beyond our outward actions and examines the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). The most important thing is that our worship is offered in spirit and in truth, as Jesus taught in John 4:23–24. That hymn carries deep meaning for those who truly understand its message. May our worship always be genuine, reverent, and pleasing unto God. God bless the Celestial Church of Christ.🙏

These people are gradually changing the doctrine given to baba Oshoffa We have notable elders that are still alive today. In 1982 when the song was given, it was given to Celestial not baba Oshoffa. Shepherds wete instructed to lift up there hands.

Whether we raise our hands or choose to just now when singing the song, it's a personal rendition and devotion to totally surrender to God. Your posture does not define your connectivity with God at that moment. On whether it is "Ilana", I've seen quite a few videos of Papa and the big guys not raising their hands up, they just bow........I stand to be corrected.
