@user11086652: A predominantly Black school telling students that dreads , long braids, and crotchet afros aren’t allowed is sad But long hair on white and Indian girls isn’t a problem. But neat is only neat on some heads I guess🫩 We ask why and get sworn at by the same people meant to teach us We deserve to go to school, learn, and feel proud of how you look. I understand that “school isn’t a fashion show” but if hair is the correct colour and neatly lied up there should be no reason to be sent home in the morning. Braids, dreads, and Afros won’t affect our ability to learn or the educators ability to teach us.
