I’ve just finished this medieval heater shield, designed as my personal artistic interpretation rather than a strict historical copy. ​Crafting Breakdown: ​Body: Layers of 8mm and 10mm EVA foam fused together to build a lightweight, ultra-sturdy core (50x55 cm). ​Finishing Textures: The front mimics coarse medieval fabric under vibrant red and yellow paint, topped with faux metal cross reinforcements. The back features a realistic hand-grained wood plank finish. ​Hardware & Leatherwork: Bound in 3mm heavy leather using a jute cord stitch around the perimeter. The rear handling system includes a leather arm pad, a fully adjustable forearm strap, and dual grip handles for solid control.
