The ending: dr Charles ran some tests and came to the conclusion that he was misdiagnosed due to the fact that African Americans are seen more as a threat when they have mental health issues (which is true) so they diagnosed him with schizophrenia and gave him the highest dosage possible and that high dosage made everything worse. then they ran more tests and find out Roland is actually bipolar so they reassess him, get him on new meds, and put him in therapy

As a former mental health crisis worker it’s not this clear cut and easy in the field and police are needed on the scene if someone is escalated for safety. This doctor knew this person so he knew how to handle this specific person. The police have saved my life on sooo many occasions. They don’t just come out pulling guns unless absolutely necessary and that’s usually when someone is already welding a weapon and not responding to police.

i was diagnosed with schizophrenia and i promised u it is not fun im on a shot i take every month so without it i be crazy i wouldnt be here if i didnt have it so i can relate to that before i was on the shot i was on 9 medications
