@malicedvx: not to mention people who claim she hated Mel, or wanted Caitlyn as a child. I beg you to read her book, and actually educate yourself on her past and her character traits instead of being loser ass larps - - - #arcane #arcaneleagueoflegends #gifedit #fyp #viral dt: @Rainey @peyton @k @Nellie. @rue @🖤⚖️ @kay★ @sophi👾
it also feels racist calling her masculine. shes very feminine to me

She’s both masculine and feminine. But it does not take away her femininity. the whole point is she had to kill the soft lamb in her and become a wolf. She had to raise and protect 2 children by herself. She was AFRAID of what could happen to them. How can they not imagine her pregnant as a fierce mother. Her name means lion. She is a lioness.

I'll take it a step further and say it's mainly because of people's Eurocentric view of what womanhood. Ambessa is a black warrior queen who wears wears intricate braids, gold adornments and MAKEUP in battle. Womanhood equaling frailty is a primarily WASP-patriarchal standard.

Remember, “MOTHER INSTINCTS” are real, especially in animals. This is who I see Ambessa as. Shes a mother who had to raise her kids in a cold world and she wanted to teach them not just to survive but to be strong.

also seeing a dark black skinned woman as only masculine is also just straight up racism. ambessa has shown to capable of being a warlord and feminine at the same time, and dare i say if she weren’t dark she’d be viewed as feminine.

Totally agree with the video! Just wanted to share my thoughts on something these comments seem to be arguing about: saying she's "feminine" or "masculine" is neither correct nor incorrect. Ambessa is just a woman. A woman who is also a mother, a military commander, very strong, likes jewelry and fancy hairstyles, has muscles, a brain and a complexity far beyond what we can understand in our current society. Debating if she's femenine or masculine erases the point of not just this character, but also every single woman in Arcane. Heck, I don't think we do this debating very often with Arcane men, do we? Either way, that's just my personal opinion. Great hot take btw!!!

Motherhood is so lost in the focus of women’s submission to husbands and fathers than it’s often forgotten just how much women will do for their children, and how strong they are for it

And people callling her masculine just because she’s strong and authoritative like those are inherently masculine traits and not also a part of motherhood
