@rain2peace: The National Day Parade (NDP) Preview 2 on 1 August and the National Day Parade on 9 August are expected to attract tens of thousands of spectators around the National Stadium, Kallang Basin and Marina Bay. Whether you have parade tickets or simply want to enjoy the fireworks from outside the venue, planning ahead can help you avoid heavy crowds and enjoy a smoother experience. Check the Live Crowd Map First Before leaving home, check the official Crowd@NationalStadium online map, available from 5:00pm to 10:30pm on both event days. The live map shows real-time crowd conditions around the National Stadium and nearby waterfront areas. If crowd levels reach safety thresholds, certain areas may be temporarily closed to protect public safety. Checking the map before travelling can save you from long walks, unnecessary waiting and last-minute changes. Where Can You Watch the Fireworks? There are several popular locations around Singapore offering good views of the NDP fireworks. Excellent Views * Marina Barrage * Bay East Garden * Gardens by the Bay (East) These locations provide wide open spaces and panoramic views of both the fireworks and Singapore skyline. Very Good Views * Kallang Basin promenade * Singapore Sports Hub waterfront * National Stadium surroundings (expect the largest crowds) Good Alternative Views * Marina Bay waterfront * Esplanade waterfront * Helix Bridge * Benjamin Sheares Bridge (only where permitted by authorities) Some viewing locations may become inaccessible if crowd control measures are activated. Expect Large Crowds Heavy crowds are expected around: * National Stadium * Singapore Sports Hub * Stadium Riverside Walk * Tanjong Rhu waterfront * Republic Avenue promenade * Marina Bay waterfront Police officers, SAF personnel and auxiliary police officers will manage pedestrian flow throughout the evening. Follow all instructions and avoid entering restricted areas. Travel Smart The busiest MRT stations are expected to be: * Stadium MRT * Tanjong Rhu MRT * Nicoll Highway MRT If these stations become congested, consider using: * Kallang MRT * Mountbatten MRT Trains may temporarily bypass stations if platforms become overcrowded. Road Closures Road closures will affect much of the Singapore Sports Hub area. 7:00am – 11:00pm Roads around: * National Stadium * Singapore Indoor Stadium * Leisure Park Kallang * Jalan Benaan Kapal * Kallang Field * Home of Athletics 3:00pm – 11:00pm Additional closures: * Tanjong Rhu Place * Tanjong Rhu View Traffic delays should also be expected along: * Nicoll Highway * Guillemard Road * Mountbatten Road * Stadium Boulevard * Sims Way * Tanjong Rhu Road Only authorised and emergency vehicles will be allowed through road closure zones. Arrive Early If you’re planning to watch from around the National Stadium, arriving before 6:00pm is recommended. This allows enough time to: * Find a suitable viewing location * Complete security screening (if entering the venue) * Avoid the heaviest transport crowds Security Measures Visitors entering the venue should travel light. To speed up security screening: * Bring only essential belongings. * Containers larger than 100ml containing liquids, aerosols or gels may be subject to additional checks. * Canned drinks and canned food are not permitted inside the venue. Each ticket holder will receive an NDP Pack containing bottled water and light snacks. Safety Reminders For everyone’s safety: * Do not stop or gather on Merdeka Bridge or Tanjong Rhu Bridge. * Do not cycle around the National Stadium during peak crowd periods. * Park only at authorised parking areas. * Do not ignore crowd-control barriers or enter restricted zones. * Follow the directions of police officers, event marshals and volunteers. Happy National Day, and enjoy the fireworks! 🇸🇬
