If you have a LOT of deep conversations for about a decade you can! I’ve been with my partner for 24 years and have 3 daughters and our tight weave has loosened. In a healthy way. It’s had its trials though. I was from a very abusive family and his house was unpredictable x so we escaped into each other x

But it's not enough the self. I need intimacy and care and connection from others as well as myself. The isolation is what's hard. I need people to share life with, I value connection. It matters. I don't want it to have all the power over my happiness but it also matters a lot.
