I don’t think people realise just how exhausting and dangerous this is. Imagine trying to walk through sinking wet sand while powerful waves crash into you and strong currents drag you backwards. The lifeguard was holding onto a young boy while battling the conditions at the same time. An incredible effort from everyone involved. Never underestimate the sea it can become dangerous in seconds.

probably one of the most impressive rescues i have ever seen from a 16 year old no less...you guys cannot fathom how hard them waves hit you just standing is extremely difficult i got caught in some surf like that in florida on a rip current and it was about half that bad and almost killed me
