@sportdogphotos: Hell yeah, K9 Benjamin! 🔥💪 Here's a quick video I shot from recent K9 in-service training. First, K9 Benjamin is muzzled (the decoy is fine)!!! Muzzle training helps prevent equipment fixation and ensures K9s will deploy on a real target, not just one wearing a suit or sleeve. K9 Benjamin did SO well here because it's very common for dogs to go after the person on the ground, regardless of who it is. Just a couple quick notes... 🐾 It's really easy to watch a few seconds of a video and form your own conclusions. Keep in mind that there isn't enough context in a short clip for that. 🐾 K9 Benjamin is deployed from the cruiser using a remote button on his handler called a door popper. See if you can spot when she hits it! 🐾 K9 Benjamin is a Belgian Malinois (yes, we're sure. No, he is not a Sable GSD. Yes, we know his coat is luscious like one). 🐾 The officer on the ground getting beat up (K9 Benjamin's handler) was tasked with being there: that's part of this drill. 🐾 No, this isn't AI. Nothing on my account will ever be AI. It was shot by me on my Nikon Z6II with a NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 S lens. It's slowed down and the lighting has been manually adjusted...that is all! 🐾 This is a training exercise. Training focuses on areas for improvement.
