Why did the change from Centigrade??? That was metric temperature when I was a kid .. you rarely heard of Celsius ……. also Celsius used to have 0 as boiling point and 100 as freezing … they changed it to match Centigrade for some reason??! Im in Canada’s and lots of people still use Fahrenheit.. its a “switch to option” on everything electronic

celcius makes sense, not just because of the 0 is freezing, and 100 is boiling. but because to heat 1ml of water(which has 1 gram of mass) 1 degree celcius it takes 1 joule of energy.

don't get me started on their litre not being 1000ml. what a lovely round number, it weighs a kg too. but nooo, an American litre, gallon and cup are all different odd increments. always have to verify a recipe before using the measurements, because 3 cups of milk from a USA recipe is not the same!
