Mind you, he hasn’t turned into the actual hulk since Endgame, and as far as we know it took place in 2023 while Brand New Day is in 2028, so it took Bruce basically FIVE YEARS to hold the Hulk back with his Inhibitor.

I think it’s also cuz actual hulk had been kept down all that time cuz obviously we’ve only had normal Bruce and smart hulk which is basically just Bruce again cuz it’s his mind still for quite a while now so he was finally able to get out after Bruce somewhat got rid of him

The way Hulk moved faster than a mutating empowered SPIDERMAN while RESTRAINED by webs and holding up part of a COLLAPSING BUILDING just to grab that gamma inhibitor... something tells me that lil combo Thanos did on him wouldn't have played out the same way this time...
