I once had all this information back in 2022 at only 22yrs, now I find it pointless and just seek for multiple ways of being happy,, because now it's happiness that all matters to me now

If you think about it. If you aren’t of a certain religion then the rules of that religion don’t apply to you. Take it as if you are Kenyan in Kenya then Ugandan laws don’t apply to you since you are in Kenya and live in Kenya. All laws written for Christians for example don’t apply to Muslims so you can’t threaten them with hell done they don’t subscribe to that others religion. Think about it

The concept of free will doesn’t make sense if the future is predetermined.

Question, does free will even exist if he knows what will happen in your life from the moment you are born till you die? and if it does exist why are we always threatened with hell if we really are free to choose what we want? kama tuseme Kuna a script ata actor aimprovise a scene, in a way it still fits into the script and the storyline the writer wanted to portray. so does the actor have the power to change the story?

we don't come from adam and eve it's a story...bible story👀 god isn't the paternalistic creator the christian mythology claims him to be... heaven and hell are states of mind... free will exists in that we create our own reality

I suspect the real question isn't whether free will is freedom or punishment, but whether freedom can exist without limits at all. A choice without consequences is meaningless, yet a choice with consequences is never entirely free. We seem to exist in the space between those two realities. Perhaps free will is not liberty itself, but the experience of agency within boundaries we did not choose.

The greatest deception is thinking freedom means independence from God. Adam pursued independence, he lost freedom.Every choice eventually becomes a master. Freedom is not “ I can do whatever I want”. Rather, it’s “ I can finally become who I was created to be” A fish isn’t free on land.A bird not feee underwater.. A human isn’t free apart from the life of the Source.Freedom is found in living according to your design.

I think free will is much more limited than we like to admit. That's why I see religion and government as having a similar dynamic: both present us with choices, but those choices exist within systems of rewards, punishments, and consequences. Take freedom of speech. On paper, we're free to speak, but in reality, expressing certain opinions can come with serious consequences. The choice still exists, but the cost of exercising it shapes our decision. That's why I don't think freedom is simply the existence of options, it's whether those options can be chosen without overwhelming coercion. The same applies to religion. People often say, "You can always leave if you don't believe." But that's not equally true for everyone. For many people, especially those living in poverty, religion isn't just belief, it's hope, community, identity, and sometimes even practical support. Walking away can mean losing far more than a doctrine. If the consequences of choosing differently are severe enough, is that still free will, or is it a choice made under duress? So I don't think free will is an absolute. I think it's constrained by power, wealth, culture, fear, and circumstance. The more insulated you are from consequences, the more freedom you appear to have. That's why your question really resonates with me: if every choice comes attached to overwhelming rewards or punishments, are we exercising genuine freedom, or are we simply choosing the path with the least unbearable consequences?

If there was no free will we would be like machines that do everything God wants us to do without questioning it…. God wants us to choose him willingly as to experience Him deeply without being forced which would not be the same🌚

consequences do exist. Can be positive and negative. Free will is not being saved from your choices, its to be able to choose whether to do/have A or B irrespective of the consequences,,thats how the free will applies. Now consequences come later after the free will .If God didnt give us the free will to choose,he wouldn't have put the tree of knowledge there,he would as well have found a better place far away from them but instead he chose to put it there,,,He knew they'll do that,,free will was given from when man was created, and following what they did, consequences followed. There are rules governing the world,God created those rules and He Himself follow those rules If by chance you want redemption from the consequences of your choices, you jus need to come back to Him.

I don't think free will has ever existed because most of our choices are directly influenced by the consequences or punishment that will occur later. So does it mean there is also a problem with God's foreknowledge
