I find it suspicious that myself and several women I know had perfect blood pressure the entire pregnancy and came in for a 37 week checkup and all of a sudden it’s through the roof high. They say we need to induce you right now. Push pitocin and mag and use a balloon to push you further faster. Most women I know had the exact same experience. That’s suspicious to me…

Isn’t pre-eclampsia being linked to the sperm? Why aren’t more men being studied?

I HATED that blood pressure monitor. I have PTSD seeing that thing and I was always so anxious seeing the doctor.

This has to be something caused by the food we’re eating. Went to L&D and the nurses even were saying that it’s insane how many women have this now, and how often.

maybe it’s the fact that they put the cuff on you the second you sit down after walking you a mile to your room

Took the baby aspirin first pregnancy, second pregnancy I didn’t. I think if the doctors didn’t contradict themselves, and stress you out everyone would be fine.

My first pregnancy I was 21 years old and I was diagnosed with high blood pressure during my pregnancy. I was still working and did a lot of walking. I still had preeclampsia.

Maybe it’s the stress involved with how awful healthcare and insurance is in America along with having to work until your literal due date and then not being offered good options for or any options at times for Maternity Leave that could relieve stress as well 🙄

I think some (not all) of this is a result of no longer manually reading BP. Medical techs almost never do it and seemingly don’t know how. The machines are regularly inaccurate and higher than a manual read. Some manual reads could be human error as well, but likely not as much as BP machines.

I was the 1/10. The magnesium is no joke, I am thrilled to be here still but it was horrible. I felt like I was on deaths door doorstep for about 5 days.

But my blood pressure at home was 120/80 or less and in office 140/80 when I was pregnant 👀 super white coat symptoms. I get so stressed now with a blood pressure check.
