After Ei lost her friends and Makoto, she discarded her physical form and placed her consciousness inside Musou Isshin and locked herself in the Plane of Euthymia for 500 years. That way, she resisted erosion. erosion that took away people she loved. she herself admits that it was a form of escapism. As for Jingliu, it's more different. After the fall of HCQ she was left Mara-Struck, determined to take down the Abundance. in my opinion, by not accepting the loss of Bai Heng and her past friends, she didn't move on. basically just ran away from forgetting the past.
