You’re not doing nothing. You & your husband are currently turning your house into your home. And you’re productive with a how-to channel that has traction. Those are both creative. The more you create & do & try, the more you learn and make yourself into an even more useful person. You’re on track. You’re only doing nothing if you’re doom scrolling.

Pull it together hoe; you’re right where you’re meant to be & at 25, you’re doing GREAT! We’re all chasing the same goals, we just each get to them at different times, different stages, different arcs. Keep swimming!!

What are you talking about? You are pivoting in the right direction. You went to school you made your career move you graduate. You have a good career and you’re making your money You’re working on your future your building up your income by working on your house working on your income for the future people are having kids traveling but you’re young with a lot of energy and the best thing to do is securing your future now that you can physically and don’t say you feel like a 50 year-old because you don’t know what us 50 yrs old feel like also let me tell you something do what you are doing because you are headed in the right direction I did the same. My house is P I took care of my future young age now that I’m here relaxing watch everybody else that was out traveling and party can’t even pay up their house because they were too busy traveling.

I think it’s this economy and the world today. Our generation was super pressured to go to school and get good jobs and start a family etc. Truth is, this is the hardest it’s ever been in history of this country to grow as a young adult, statistically. It feels like if you are being productive, you’re failing. So most feel ashamed of living in the moment rather than focusing on the future and planning it.

I’m 26 - recently married, civil engineer, mostly working on improving my first house. I often wonder what my purpose should be beyond building a stable home life that I’m assuming I’ll need in the future. A Zoloft prescription & accepting that the purpose of life, is just for me to give it purpose - and it’ll be beautiful no matter what I decide. I like to believe that everything always worked out the way it was supposed to. So I trust that my character will lead me to where I want to be (even if I don’t know what that will be). Hope any of this made sense

I have a different opinion than most in the comments and hopefully I don't get hate - You're young, married, and smart- I also don't know what you do for work- I would look for a career job like federal, state or local government that has health care for your husband or yourself and maybe a child in the future- building inspector? no bias there 😁- You seem to enjoy construction- After career job get a Roth IRA and dump $$ in it- better to start young- don't take the foot off the gas pedal - I truly mean well

Almost 20 years older than you and I felt similar in my mid 20s. You don’t have to have all the answers or even a heading at all. You’re young. Newly married and renovating a home together. Building something cool in social media and I’m sure other personal projects you don’t share. Enjoy it. The modern world makes us feel like we’re supposed to go go go and have this big life purpose or goal and constantly be doing something new and if we’re not than something is wrong with us. If you don’t know where to pivot to it means you’re not supposed to be pivoting right now. Enjoy where you’re at and try to let yourself be present. And yeah turn off the news. Humans were not built to have this much information all the time.

Take a break from media. Knowing whats happening in the world is vital but were not meant to consume all of it all at once. Youre doing amazing 👏

No one really has it all figured out. ❤️Stressing over the “not knowing” only steals the joy from where you are right now. Focus on what genuinely makes you happy and fulfilled. Creating and sharing here is your something. At this time. Everyone’s journey unfolds at a different pace, so don’t let other people’s milestones make you question your own path. I remember feeling that way at 25 too. Looking back, I wish I had trusted the process more. From what I see, you’re actually ahead of the game. Keep building a life that feels right for you, not one that looks right to everyone else. 🫶🏽

That's called functional paralysis. It's very common with people with ADHD where in their mind, they have 50 tabs open and they know what needs to be done, they just can't motivate themselves to do anything, because it all feels so overwhelming. Your nervous system is disregulated, and once it gets your nervous system back in balance again, and you have a little bit of dopamine. You'll be good.

Do not overmix. Reserve about 1/2 cup of dough. - Press remaining dough evenly into the prepared pan. - Spread the cooled peach filling over the base layer. - Drop reserved dough over the top in small pieces so it partially covers the filling. - Spread cinnamon butter evenly over the top.  - Bake for 45–50 minutes until the top is golden and the filling is bubbling. - Cool completely before glazing so the bars set properly. - Whisk powdered sugar and milk together until smooth and drizzle over cooled bars.
