@thaazay09: This is where I was born, raised... A small and beautiful village called Dawangkha (Pronouns -Dawakha-), located in Toewang Gewog, Punakha Dzongkhag. According to the elders of our village, the name Dawangkha carries a special meaning. "Da" means spread, referring to the spread of the red rice (seed) that is believed to have developed and spread from this place. "Wang" means valley and "Kha" refers to a place. Together, Dawangkha represents a place in the valley connected deeply with the history and cultivation of our red rice. Our red rice is locally called it as Dawap Yangkum...!!!!! Dawangkha is more than just a village to me. It is where my roots are, where learned our traditions, practiced our way of life, and understood the value of community, hard work, and agriculture..... It is a shining village where our people have a strong connection with the land. Almost everyone depends on agriculture and livestock for their livelihood, Agriculture farming an important part of our identity and daily life. #myvillage #happyplace #bhutan
