Her brother, Finneas O’Connell, is also her closest musical collaborator, and they have worked together on the writing and production of many of Billie’s songs. Billie first gained major attention at a young age with her song “ocean eyes” and released her debut EP, dont smile at me, in 2017. She later released the albums WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, Happier Than Ever, and HIT ME HARD AND SOFT. At the 2020 Grammy Awards, when she was only 18 years old, she made history by winning all four major categories in the same night. She has also won two Academy Awards for “No Time To Die” and “What Was I Made For?”, both written with Finneas. Today, she is considered one of the most successful and influential artists of her generation.
