I like you break it down to minor details like put most weight on the balls of your feet and explaining terms and fundamentals before explaining the trick I wanna skate but learn from home and all I see is vids of some guy saying “just put one foot here other here and do a scissor kick motion and then they show the trick sometimes in slow motion and never tell you where your weight is what foot your pushing foot or your skating foot back? Which foot is supposed to do the hard work of jumping it or popping it theses are things I don’t know how to do and I don’t wanna learn it the hard way by breaking a bunch of body parts when I could have just been told these things skaters aren’t that deeply specific and it really don’t help it may help when you already know some tricks and skating you already know the fundamentals so you get it but the vids always say for complete beginners and it’s not I come from figure skating so every vids for ice skating for beginners is explained so good you shouldn’t have any problems understanding but there’s barely any tuts for advanced stuff for advanced skaters cause you know it’s all from the basics and if you masters that you gonna get tricks much faster and already know where your weight and stuff should be but skate boreders seem to be the opposite
